How this calculator works
The average (mean) grade is the sum of your grades divided by how many there are. With weights, each grade is multiplied by its weight and the total is divided by the sum of the weights.
Average = Σ(grades) ÷ number of grades Weighted average = Σ(grade × weight) ÷ Σ(weight)
Example: 88, 76.5, 90 (27/30), 93 and 81 average to 428.5 ÷ 5 = 85.7%. The median — the middle value when sorted — is 88%.
Scores entered as points, like 27/30, are converted to percentages first so that every grade is on the same 0–100 scale.
